Back when I was a newly minted adult, free in the world to make my own bad decisions, I was already several years into a long community college stint. I had been accepted into UC San Diego and UC Santa Cruz and was trying to make a tough decision. It seemed like the factors were overwhelming. I gave it a lot of thought, made lists, considered everything. The decision I made was this: it was time to write a program to make my decision for me!
Over the years, I wrote and re-wrote versions of Decision-Maker, first in Perl, then as an early interactive web app in the mid-90s, and finally as a robust modern web application.
