Bella Ciao, Zombie Edition
The Zombies
They are waking
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
In the night time While you are sleeping
They will eat your brains in bed
We are home here
Though a fortress
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
Guns and food here in this Walmart
It will keep us both alive
The survivors
We have gathered
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
Yesterday we were strangers
But our friendship’s bound in blood
Goodbye friends
I am leaving
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
Now that walkers Got my sweetheart
There is nothing keeps me here
Got my shotgun
Got this gas can
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
To their nest now I am creeping
I will bring them all to hell
Dear companions
A request now
Bella ciao Bella ciao Bella ciao ciao ciao
Now I’m bitten And I’m turning
Put a bullet in my brain

The song “Bella ciao” was sung by the anti-fascist resistance movement active in Italy between 1943 and 1945. The author of the lyrics is unknown; the music and spirit of the song is based on a folk song sung by rice-weeders on the River Po basin in the early part of the 20th century – “Alla mattina appena alzata”. The earliest written version is dated 1906 and comes from near Vercelli, Piedmont. It is sung by revolutionaries and fighters the world over in numerous languages.
