The Megalophone is a robot head with musical steel teeth. You can enter his mouth and play his teeth with a mallet. At night, his wires light up when he’s thinking or receiving information. I worked with artist Lauren Benz in 2018 to create a sound-aware light-enabled Mbira whose colored lights responded to the frequency of the sound generated by visitors striking the keys.
