An interactive web documentary featuring video, images, sound, and stories gathered from my Secret History web expeditions. The work put in by the author/developer and 5 members of the student production team to create a dozen interactive multimedia chapters highlighted the need for artists to have ways to tell their stories on the web in interesting and compelling ways without having to invest the time and energy in custom programming.
Creating a more general and easy-to-use version of the system openly available to multimedia artists is a long-term research goal.
The web doc relied on various web technologies: Meteor, a fullstack Node.js framework, MongoDB, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, some of which gave the work a technologically short lifespan.
