I facilitated this Free Skool workshop in 2011 and again in late 2012. A class for people who take serious matters lightly and for people who take their play seriously. We create games to help us play the bigger game of life which is itself a playful dance. This is an intellectual and philosophical exploration of games. Bring your playful spirit and intellectual curiosity.

We talked about games and play, learned something about game theory, shared DIY games, and designed our own. We created a list of attributes that helped us classify and analyze games. I introduced the Guess What Game We’re Playing metagame whose end product is a playable game.

A dozen people came to each class and engaged in lively discussion (and philosophy) of games.
